April Submissions Now Open!

Luna Negra is the longest-running student magazine at Kent State University. As a literary arts magazine, we strive to amplify your voices.

In keeping with this mission, we are opening submissions monthly to any Kent State students, faculty, and staff members. At the end of each month, winning submissions will be published on our website and promoted on social media with the option for the artist to appear on our podcast for an interview.

We accept original, unpublished work of prose, poetry, creative nonfiction, fine art, photography, and illustration. We also welcome vibrant, dynamic works that may live outside these categories. For submissions guidelines, please refer to the instructions within each submission category.
